
Administrative Assitant
Allegheny Financial Group is a boutique financial advisory firm providing comprehensive financial planning and investment management services to individuals and businesses that want the highest level of attention. Founded in 1976, the firm is an SEC-registered investment advisor.
We are looking for a bright, organized, energetic self-starter to provide administrative support for the busy financial planning team of three owners/partners of AFG in our North Hills office. This position will be an integral part of a successful group that not only enjoys stability, but is also in growth mode. Responsibilities include:
• Research and respond to questions from clients and related professionals via telephone, e-mail, written correspondence and in-person
• Perform an extensive array of administrative tasks for practice advisors including scheduling client appointments, coordinating travel arrangements, monitoring advisors’ meeting schedules, organizing meeting reports, materials and agendas
• Implement and track client investment activity
• Record and maintain client information in client record management database. Utilize database for mailings, reports and special projects
• Enter investment data into Excel spreadsheet applications; create and administer Excel spreadsheets. Import and link data within multiple spreadsheet applications
• Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned
Requirements include:
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to develop a rapport with clients and related professionals of varied ages and backgrounds
• Financial services industry experience is a strong preference
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in business, finance or accounting) with two years experience in a fast-paced office preferably in a financial services, legal or accounting environment OR Associate’s Degree combined with relative experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and superior grammar skills
• Advanced user of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
• Ability to follow directions, work well under pressure and maintain a fast pace in a multi-task environment
• Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy, initiative and follow-through
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
