Tax Advisors Form ATI Financial Services
Financial advisory firm combines skills and experience of partners
PITTSBURGH, March 23, 2007—Two North Hills financial advisors have joined their independent accounting, tax, and investment advisory practices to form ATI Financial Services. The initials ATI—for Accounting, Taxes, and Investments—reflect the core businesses of the new firm, which also provides comprehensive financial planning, insurance, and other financial services to families, businesses, and individuals.
Partners Ralph Duckworth and Tom Butler, both CPAs, say they formed ATI because of what their clients need and want. By combining their skills and experience, they assure clients the highest level of service, as well as a broader range of services. Duckworth and Butler are joined by Cynthia Owens, also a CPA.
“We had complementary, growing practices, a shared commitment to ethical and professional standards, even the same devotion to personal attention,” said Duckworth, “so it was a fairly easy decision to join forces.”
Butler, an MBA with securities and insurance licenses who spent 18 years with Mellon Financial Services, has been advising private clients in the region on investments and taxes since 2000. Duckworth, also an MBA who holds securities and insurance licenses and who has taught accounting and finance at Carnegie Mellon University, has had a similar practice since 2000. Owens, a former corporate controller and public accountant, has focused on tax services for individuals, small businesses, and non-profit organizations since 2003.
ATI is affiliated with Allegheny Investments, an investment management and financial planning firm that is the oldest independent securities broker-dealer in Pittsburgh. ATI’s offices are at 1000 Brooktree Road in Wexford and 20397 Route 19 in Cranberry Township.
